Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Pathogenic Neurofibromatosis type 1 gene variants in tumors of non‐NF1 patients and role of R1276
Somatic variants of the neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) gene occur across neoplasms without clinical manifestation of the disease NF1. We identified emerging somatic pathogenic NF1 variants and hotspots, for example, at the arginine finger 1276. Those missense variants provide fundamental information about neurofibromin's role in cancer.

Two fuzziness indexes proposed by Kaufmann: observations about them
Professor Arnold Kaufmann did propose at least two types of indexes for estimating fuzziness in finite standard fuzzy sets. First one has an analogue formulation to that stated by Claude Shannon for measuring uncertainty in a given system.

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Uncertainty of the Shapley Value [PDF]
This paper introduces a measure of uncertainty in the determination of the Shapley value, illustrates it with examples, and studies some of its properties.

Game Harmony: A Short Note [PDF]
Strategic uncertainty in game theory may have two different general sources, either alone or in combination: uncertainty because of the existence of a coordination problem, and uncertainty because of a conflict between one own and the other n players ...

This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Using implied volatility to measure uncertainty about interest rates [PDF]
Option prices can be used to infer the level of uncertainty about future asset prices. The first two parts of this article explain such measures (implied volatility) and how they can differ from the market's true expectation of uncertainty.
