Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Maximum norm error estimates of fourth-order compact difference scheme for the nonlinear Schrödinger equation involving a quintic term

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2018
A compact finite difference (CFD) scheme is presented for the nonlinear Schrödinger equation involving a quintic term. The two discrete conservative laws are obtained.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Solving a System of 2D Burger\'s Equations using Semi-Lagrangian Finite Difference Schemes

open access: yesپژوهش‌های ریاضی, 2020
Introduction Following and generalizing the excellent work of Wang et ‎al. ‎[26], ‎we extract here some new scheme‎s, ‎based on the‎ ‎semi-Lagrangian discretization‎, ‎the modified equation theory‎, ‎and‎ ‎the local one-dimensional (LOD) scheme for ...

A New Numerical Approximation Method for Two-Dimensional Wave Equation with Neumann Damped Boundary

open access: yesComplexity, 2020
In this paper, a fully discretized finite difference scheme is derived for two-dimensional wave equation with damped Neumann boundary condition. By discrete energy method, the proposed difference scheme is proven to be of second-order convergence and of ...

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Metastasis on pause: How dormant tumor cells stay hidden within the tumor microenvironment and evade immune surveillance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

A Compact Difference Scheme for Solving Fractional Neutral Parabolic Differential Equation with Proportional Delay

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2017
A linearized compact finite difference scheme is constructed for solving the fractional neutral parabolic differential equation with proportional delay. By the energy method, the unconditional stability of the scheme is proved, and the convergence order ...
