A Linesearch Algorithm with Memory for Unconstrained Optimization [PDF]
This paper considers algorithms for unconstrained nonlinear optimization where the model used by the algorithm to represent the objective function explicitly includes memory of the past iterations. This is intended to make the algorithm less “myopic” in the sense that its behaviour is not completely dominated by the local nature of the objective ...

The paper proposes that the root cause of aging is the loss of anatomical goal‐directedness after development. Using evolutionary neural cellular automata simulations, the authors show that after the organism has reached its developmental homeostatic setpoint (the adult morphology), the absence of target state to pursue leads to a drifting anatomical ...

A new accelerated conjugate gradient method for large-scale unconstrained optimization
In this paper, we present a new conjugate gradient method using an acceleration scheme for solving large-scale unconstrained optimization. The generated search direction satisfies both the sufficient descent condition and the Dai–Liao conjugacy condition

In this paper, a novel floating gate transistor (BP/POx/WSe2) is developed, which enables rich synaptic functionality under optoelectronic conditions and can mimic human visual memory. By introducing a two‐path convolutional neural network that synergistically fuses optical and electronic inputs, it can achieve efficient feature extraction and weight ...

A dimension-reducing method for unconstrained optimization
For the unconstrained optimization problem \[ \min f(x),\;x\in\mathbb{R}^n \] a dimension-reducing numerical method is presented. The authors give for this method numerical applications and compare the obtained numerical result with conjugate gradient and variable metric methods.

A programmable 3D Neuron‐Injury‐on‐a‐Chip platform integrates multiaxial mechanical loading with ultrasensitive electrochemical biosensing to decode neuronal responses in real time. By mimicking physiologically relevant extension–torsion forces, the system reveals load‐specific biomarker trajectories (T‐Tau, NFL), gene regulation, and apoptosis.

The organic RTP's rigidity‐flexibility conflict via multiscale confinement is resolved. Dendronized donor‐acceptor with alkyl carbazoles enables intramolecular encapsulation and stability of triplet excitons, achieving 9 ms solution RTP. Combined with aggregation/PMMA doping, this suppresses nonradiative decay, achieving 72% film PLQY/17.2% OLED EQE ...
