Collision warning algorithm for passage of an uncontrolled road intersection

open access: yes2014 14th Biennial Baltic Electronic Conference (BEC), 2014
Road traffic safety is one of the priorities in development of intelligent transport systems. Collision warning devices, which operate on the basis of integrated use of satellite navigation and vehicle-to-vehicle communication (V2V), are intended to supplement the existing driver-assisting systems.

Land Degradation, Cultural Ecosystem Services, and Ecosystem Disservices in the Sumapaz Páramo, Colombia: An Integrated Socioecological Assessment

open access: yesLand Degradation &Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Understanding the relationships among land degradation, ecosystem functioning and human well‐being is essential for conserving tropical high‐mountain ecosystems. This study examined the relationships among land degradation, Cultural Ecosystem Services (CES), ecosystem disservices (EDS) and visitor perceptions at Laguna Colorados in the Sumapaz

Gradient‐Structured Polymer Fiber Mats for Broadly Tunable Multicolor and White Lasing

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
Hierarchically engineered electrospun fiber mats containing separated red, green, and blue dyes enable highly tunable multicolor and white random lasing. Spatially controlled dye distribution suppresses energy transfer, allowing precise color adjustment across wide color gamuts and accurate reproduction of daylight white standards.

Hsp90 Inhibition on the Western Blot: N‐Terminal Versus C‐Terminal Inhibitors in Breast Cancer

open access: yesMedicinal Research Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Heat shock protein 90 (Hsp90) is an established and clinically validated anticancer target. By regulating the folding and maturation of diverse client proteins, it is indirectly involved in carcinogenesis. Key breast cancer oncogenic drivers, including estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor, and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2, are ...

Unveiling sialoglycans’ immune mastery in pregnancy and their intersection with tumor biology

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
Sialylation is a typical final step of glycosylation, which is a prevalent post-translational modification of proteins. Sialoglycans, the products of sialylation, are located on the outmost of cells and participate in pivotal biological processes.

Frailty Severity and Voice Outcomes After Type 1 Thyroplasty

open access: yesOtolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective Frailty is associated with high mortality and morbidity, even for low‐risk procedures. The role of frailty in postoperative quality of life is not well characterized. We studied the relationship between frailty and voice outcomes after type 1 thyroplasty. Study Design Retrospective chart review.

Mechanistic Evaluation of Luteolin in Wound Healing of Diabetic Foot Ulcer via Nrf2 Signaling

open access: yesPhytotherapy Research, EarlyView.
Proposed mechanism by which Luteolin (LU) promotes diabetic foot ulcer healing. LU attenuates hyperglycemia‐induced oxidative stress and lipid peroxidation, improves endothelial cell viability, and suppresses ferroptosis through Nrf2‐dependent antioxidant signaling, thereby accelerating angiogenesis and wound repair. ABSTRACT Diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs)
