DRIVER AGE DIFFERENCES IN DAY AND NIGHT GAP ACCEPTANCE CAPABILITIES
Performance of Two-way Stop-controlled (TWSC) intersections is greatly affected by the gap acceptance capabilities of drivers. However, there have been no detailed studies conducted regarding driver age differences in gap acceptance capabilities under ...

Generalized gap acceptance models for unsignalized intersections [PDF]
This paper contributes to the modeling and analysis of unsignalized intersections. In classical gap acceptance models vehicles on the minor road accept any gap greater than the CRITICAL gap, and reject gaps below this threshold, where the gap is the time between two subsequent vehicles on the major road.

Gap Acceptance at Non–Standard Unsignalised Intersections
Non-standard unsignalised intersections are very common in European countries with old street networks. The major road often bends at an angle at the centre of an intersection, which makes the intersection non-standard.

Gap acceptance of violators at signalised pedestrian crossings [PDF]
Gap acceptance of violating pedestrians was studied at seven stretches of signalised pedestrian crossings in Singapore. The provision of the traffic light signals provide a 'safer' crossing option to these pedestrians, as compared to uncontrolled crossings and mid-block arterial roads.

Review of Roundabout Capacity Based on Gap Acceptance
Circulating vehicles have priority at modern roundabouts. Entrance vehicles can enter the roundabout when there is a time gap larger than the critical gap; otherwise, the vehicles need to wait until there is a large enough gap.

Sight distances at unsignalized intersections: a comparison of guidelines and requirements for human drivers and autonomous vehicles [PDF]
Many traffic accidents are caused by unforeseen and unexpected events in a site that was hidden from the driver's eyes. Road design parameters determining required visibility are based on relationships formulated decades ago.

Capacity Analysis Procedure for Four-leg Non-standard Unsignalised Intersections
Procedures for capacity analysis of two-way stop controlled (TWSC) appeared in scientific literature in the 1970s. In addition to standard TWSC intersections, there are also non-standard unsignalised intersections.

Pedestrian Gap Acceptance Behavioral Modelling at Midblock and Uncontrolled Intersections
Pedestrian safety is one of the major concerns and pedestrian gap acceptance (PGA) behaviour depends on various characteristics of pedestrians, vehicles, geometry and environment.
