Analysis of Uneven Settlement and Restoration Measures for One 220kV Transmission Tower [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 2015 2nd International Forum on Electrical Engineering and Automation (IFEEA 2015), 2016
Keywords: Transmission tower, Uneven Settlement, Finite element analysis, Reinforcing scheme. Abstract. One leaning tower of 220 kV transmission line was taken as an example and a finite element model for the coupled tower-line system was established for investigating the effects of the uneven settlement on the transmission tower and line.

Smart Antibacterial Coatings: Harnessing Bacterial Redox Activity for Infection Control

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
In this study, we have shown that ceftazidime‐loaded poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT@CAZ) functions as a smart, redox‐responsive antibacterial coating that couples bacterial electrical activity with localized antibiotic delivery. Shewanella oneidensis and Pseudomonas aeruginosa induced distinct redox responses in PEDOT, reflecting their ...

Elimination of Necking and Aspect Ratio Dependence in Uniaxial Actuators by Continuous Fiber Reinforcement

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A novel carbon fiber reinforcement for dielectric elastomer actuators enhances actuation force while decoupling electromechanical performance from the actuator's aspect ratio. Unlike conventional fiber reinforcements, it enables a uniform planar stretch state along the entire actuator.
