Some Remarks on Uniform Convergence [PDF]
A useful test for uniform convergence is that first established by Buchanan and Hildebrandt [4] which is as follows.(A) “If a sequencefn(x) of monotonic functions converges to a continuous functionf(x) in [a, b] then this convergence is uniform.”In §1 of this paper it is shown that this test is included in a sequence of theorems, each of which ...

Building machine‐readable vocabularies for materials science is slow, expert‐driven work. This study benchmarks 13 large language models on two of its first steps: finding candidate terms in engineering articles and deciding where they belong in a class hierarchy.

Uniform convergence of Fourier series, IV
Verf. beweist seinen früheren Satz 6 (vgl. Teil V [Proc. Japan Acad. 31, 600--605 (1955; Zbl 0067.04201)]) in abgeänderter Form, indem er die Voraussetzung \[ \int_{0}^{|h|}|f(x+u)-f(x)|du=o(|h|) \] durch \[ \int_{0}^{|h|}(f(x+u)-f(x))du=o(|h|),~ h\rightarrow 0 \] ersetzt. Als Verallgemeinerung eines Satzes von R.

Riesz lacunary uniform integrability and statistical convergence via power series method
In this paper, the concepts of Riesz lacunary statistical convergence, Riesz lacunary strong convergence, and Riesz lacunary uniform integrability of real sequences within the framework of power series are introduced and studied.

Convergence-Preserving Function Sequences and Uniform Convergence
Consider a sequence of real-valued functions \(\{f_k, k\geq 1\}\) defined on a closed subset \(S\) of the real line. This sequence is called convergence-preserving on \(S\) if \(\{f_k(t_k), k\geq 1\}\) is convergent for every convergent sequence \(\{t_k\} \subset S\). The main result shows that \(\{f_k\}\) is convergence-preserving on a closed interval

This study shows that superalloys used in aircraft engine disks become much more prone to deformation at high temperatures if they have been strained during manufacturing. This effect increases with the level of prior strain but eventually reaches a limit.

Precipitation Simulations of the O‐Phase in Ti2AlNb Alloys Processed by Laser Powder Bed Fusion
Simulated and experimental evolution of the O‐phase volume fraction during postprocessing of a Ti‐21Al‐25Nb (at.%) alloy processed by laser powder bed fusion. With results of sensitivity to input parameters from a thorough and quantified analysis, the interfacial energy matrix/precipitate is the most relevant input parameter for the simulation of the O‐

ℐ-αβ-statistical relative uniform convergence for double sequences and its applications
This article introduces a novel concept of convergence, referred to as ℐ{\mathcal{ {\mathcal I} }}-αβ\alpha \beta -statistical relative uniform convergence, for double sequences of functions.
