Path Integrals on Euclidean Space Forms [PDF]
In this paper we develop a quantization method for flat compact manifolds based on path integrals. In this method the Hilbert space of holomorphic functions in the complexification of the manifold is used. This space is a reproducing kernel Hilbert space.

New Representations of Matroids and Generalizations [PDF]
We extend the notion of matroid representations by matrices over fields and consider new representations of matroids by matrices over finite semirings, more precisely over the boolean and the superboolean semirings.

Helmholtz-Manakov solitons [PDF]
A novel spatial soliton-bearing wave equation is introduced, the Helmholtz-Manakov (H-M) equation, for describing the evolution of broad multi-component self-trapped beams in Kerr-type media. By omitting the slowly-varying envelope approximation, the H-M

Complete Delocalization in a Defective Periodic Structure [PDF]
We report on the existence of stable, completely delocalized response regimes in a nonlinear defective periodic structure. In this state of complete delocalization, despite the presence of the defect, the system exhibits in-phase oscillation of all units

Aim of study: In this study we applied 3D point clouds generated by images obtained from an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) to evaluate the uniformity of young forest stands.Area of study: Two commercial forest stands were selected, with two plots each. The forest species studied were Eucalyptus spp. and Pinus taeda L.

Diffractive point sets with entropy
After a brief historical survey, the paper introduces the notion of entropic model sets (cut and project sets), and, more generally, the notion of diffractive point sets with entropy. Such sets may be thought of as generalizations of lattice gases.

By using the Pervin relations, we show that all minimal structures generalized topologies, and ascending systems can be naturally derived from generalized uniformities. Therefore, they need not be studied separately.

Code Construction and Decoding Algorithms for Semi-Quantitative Group Testing with Nonuniform Thresholds [PDF]
We analyze a new group testing scheme, termed semi-quantitative group testing, which may be viewed as a concatenation of an adder channel and a discrete quantizer. Our focus is on non-uniform quantizers with arbitrary thresholds.

ABSTRACT Background Cyclophosphamide (CY) is associated with potentially fatal cardiotoxicity, yet no electrocardiographic indices have been established for early detection of CY‐induced cardiomyopathy. This study aimed to determine whether corrected QT interval (QTc) prolongation can predict early onset of CY‐related cardiac dysfunction in pediatric ...

Combinatorial approach to generalized Bell and Stirling numbers and boson normal ordering problem
We consider the numbers arising in the problem of normal ordering of expressions in canonical boson creation and annihilation operators. We treat a general form of a boson string which is shown to be associated with generalizations of Stirling and Bell ...
