Flock Uniformity, Blood Indices, and Nutrient Retention of Broiler Chickens Fed Low Energy and Protein Diets Supplemented with Multi-Enzyme [PDF]

open access: yesPoultry Science Journal, 2023
A feeding trial was conducted using two-hundred-day-old male Ross-308 broiler chickens to evaluate the effect of multi-enzyme (Natuzyme®) on flock uniformity, some haematological and serum biochemical indices, and nutrient retention in broiler chickens ...

A uniformity trial on groundnuts

open access: yesThe Journal of Agricultural Science, 1953
A uniformity trial on groundnuts has been analysed and the results discussed. Plant number is less variable than yield and less sensitive to shape of plot and of block. For yield, long narrow plots are more efficient than shorter and wider plots, in all shapes and sizes of blocks and in Latin squares.

The value of a uniformity trial in field experimentation with rubber

open access: yesThe Journal of Agricultural Science, 1934
1. Sanders’ method of utilising previous crop records to correct experimental results by means of a linear regression is briefly described.2. The method is applied to yield figures from rubber trees in Sumatra, and the precision of a dummy experiment is thereby increased nearly fourfold when the “preliminary” and “experimental” years are consecutive ...

Optimal plot size for experiments with black oats and the common vetch [PDF]

open access: yesCiência Rural, 2020
: The aim of this study was to determine the optimal plot size for evaluating the fresh weight of black oats (Avena strigosa Schreb) and the common vetch (Vicia sativa L.) in scenarios comprising combinations of the number of treatments, number of ...

Estimands for clinical endpoints in tuberculosis treatment randomized controlled trials: a retrospective application in a completed trial [PDF]

open access: yesTrials
Background Randomized trials for the treatment of tuberculosis (TB) rely on a composite primary outcome to capture unfavorable treatment responses. However, variability between trials in the outcome definition and estimation methods complicates across ...

A Sharp Uniform Bound for the Distribution of Sums of Bernoulli Trials [PDF]

open access: yesCombinatorics, Probability and Computing, 2015
In this note we establish a uniform bound for the distribution of a sum Sn=X1+···+Xn of independent non-homogeneous Bernoulli trials. Specifically, we prove that σn(Sn = j) ≤ η, where σn denotes the standard deviation of Sn, and η is a universal constant.

Comparison of The Fiber Characteristics of the Some Cotton Varieties Ginned by Using Sawgin and Rollergin

open access: yesTurkish Journal of Agriculture: Food Science and Technology, 2021
In this study carried out in 2015 under conditions of Kahramanmaraş province of Turkey, it was aimed at determining the effects of sawgin and rollergin methods on fiber quality in some cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) cultivars.
