Comparative study of simple interline and three-way cross maize hybrids

open access: yesЗерновое хозяйство России, 2022
Domestic interline maize hybrids are predominantly three-way cross hybrids in structure, and foreign breeding and seed companies prefer simple interline hybrids. In order to improve the competitiveness of domestic breeding, it is necessary to reorient to

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

A new method of arranging variety trials involving a large number of varieties

open access: yes, 1936
A new method of arranging variety trials involving large numbers of varieties is described. This type of arrangement, for which the name pseudo-factorial arrangement is proposed, enables the block size to be kept small without the use of controls ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

SEAg 2009: Agricultural Technologies In a Changing Climate [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Irrigation non-uniformity has been shown to adversely affect crop production and it is often assumed that high levels of uniformity are required to optimise economic returns.

Influence of Boom Inclination Angle on Uniformity Distribution for Spraying Machines

open access: yes, 2010
The practice of sustanainable agriculture demands the best qualitative indexes for spraying machines and, especially, better distribution uniformity on the working width of these machines.
