Let φ:ℝn×[0,∞)→[0,∞) be a Musielak-Orlicz function and A an expansive dilation. In this paper, the authors introduce the anisotropic Hardy space of Musielak-Orlicz type, HAφ(ℝn), via the grand maximal function.

More about metric spaces on which continuous functions are uniformly continuous
An Atsuji space is a metric space X such that each continuous function form X to an arbitrary metric space Y is uniformly continuous. We here present (i) characterizations of metric spaces with Atsuji completions; (ii) Cantor-type theorems for Atsuji ...

Homomorphisms of the lattice of slowly oscillating functions on the half-line
We study the space H(SO) of all homomorphisms of the vector lattice of all slowly oscillating functions on the half-line ℍ = [ 0 , ∞ ) . In contrast to the case of homomorphisms of uniformly continuous functions, it is shown that a homomorphism in H(SO ...

Non-uniformly continuous nearest point maps
We construct a Banach space satisfying that the nearest point map (also called proximity mapping or metric projection) onto any non-singleton compact and convex subset is continuous but not uniformly continuous. The space we construct is locally uniformly convex, which ensures the continuity of all these nearest point maps.

Equilibrium states for non-uniformly expanding maps: decay of correlations and strong stability [PDF]
We study the rate of decay of correlations for equilibrium states associated to a robust class of non-uniformly expanding maps where no Markov assumption is required.

On uniformly continuous Nemytskij operators generated by set-valued functions
Let I = [0, 1], let Y be a real normed linear space, C a convex cone in Y and Z a real Banach space. Denote by clb(Z) the set of all nonempty, convex, closed and bounded subsets of Z. If a superposition operator N generated by a set-valued function F : I

Dynamic recrystallization and microstructural evolution in 40CrNi2MoV steel during forging
Summary: Reactor pressure vessel (RPV) studs require uniform microstructures for reliability. A strain-compensated Arrhenius constitutive model and dynamic recrystallization (DRX) model for 40CrNi2MoV steel were established via isothermal compression ...
