Segmented Therapeutic Delivery via Acoustic Microbubble Relay

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
An acoustically driven, modular segmented delivery system is presented to overcome mechanical limitations of conventional microcatheters. Oscillating microbubbles generate directional streaming that enables continuous, targeted transport across open, angled segments.

Who Owns the Output? Authorship, Creative Labour, and Innovation Capability in Human‐AI Collaboration

open access: yesAI &Innovation, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Generative AI is radically transforming how creative authorship is understood, attributed, and governed across the world’s cultural and creative industries. As AI systems increasingly produce outputs that organisations and audiences recognise as creative, foundational assumptions about who authors creative work, who receives credit for it, and

Preferential trading in agriculture: New insights from a structural gravity analysis and machine learning

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Agricultural Economics, EarlyView.
Abstract Preferential trade agreements (PTAs) contain various non‐tariff provisions, yet identifying their trade effects remains challenging because these commitments are high‐dimensional and strongly correlated within agreements. We estimated a theory‐consistent structural gravity model with domestic flows for 26 agricultural subsectors over 1988–2017

Milestone Attainment in Young Children With Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita: Developmental Profile and Associated Factors

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part C: Seminars in Medical Genetics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Evidence on developmental milestones in children with arthrogryposis multiplex congenita (AMC) under the age of five is scarce. This multisite cross‐sectional study described developmental status and examined factors associated with milestone attainment in 143 children aged 0–66 months from a pediatric AMC Registry.

Nonlinear Robin problems with unilateral constraints and dependence on the gradient

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2018
We consider a nonlinear Robin problem driven by the p-Laplacian, with unilateral constraints and a reaction term depending also on the gradient (convection term). Using a topological approach based on fixed point theory (the Leray-Schauder alternative

A Coupled Unilateral Teleoperation System Using an Omnidirectional Mobile Robot Haptic Interface

open access: yesIEEE Access
This paper proposes a novel coupled unilateral teleoperation system that enables position and force interaction between two operators located at different sites via omnidirectional mobile robot haptic interfaces.

Subordination is dead! Long live subordination!

open access: yesLabour & Law Issues, 2020
Is the concept of “subordination” still valid and applicable to define the employment relationship in digital and platform firms? According to the Author the answer to this question must be positive: the subordination survives and it is alive even if the

Strategies for inducing diabetes in laboratory animals: Advances from chemical, surgical, immunologic, dietary, and genetic approaches

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
This review summarizes the principal experimental approaches used to induce diabetes in animal models. Strategies include chemical agents (streptozotocin, alloxan, dithizone, gold thioglucose), dietary interventions (high‐fat and high‐sugar diets), surgical methods (total or partial pancreatectomy), genetic models (db/db, ob/ob, Goto‐Kakizaki [GK ...

Neurophysiological Recovery Following Nerve Transfer Surgery to Restore Upper Limb Function after Cervical Spinal Cord Injury

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, EarlyView.
Objectives Nerve transfer is a promising intervention for restoring hand and upper limb function after cervical spinal cord injury (SCI), but the timeline of neurophysiological recovery in humans remains unclear. This study aimed to define recovery profiles after nerve transfers to restore upper limb function.
