On the Helly Number for Hyperplane Transversals to Unit Balls [PDF]
The paper concerns the smallest number \(k\) such that for every family of at least \(k\) pairwise disjoint unit balls in the Euclidean \(d\)-space \(\mathbb{R}^d\) the following implication is true: if every \(k\) from the balls are met by a hyperplane, then there is a hyperplane which meets all the balls from the family.

Spherical contractions and interpolation problems on the unit ball
In this note fractional representations of multipliers on vector-valued functional Hilbert spaces are used to give a proof of Arveson\u27s version of von Neumann\u27s inequality for n-contractions on the unit ball.

On the Growth of the Cauchy-Szego Transform in the Unit Ball [PDF]
The growth of holomorphic and harmonic functions on the unit ball \(B_n\) in \({\mathbb C}^n\) represented by the Cauchy-Stieltjes integral or the Poisson-Stieltjes integral is described. Theorem 1. Let \(\mu\) be a complex-valued Borel measure on \(S_n = \partial B_n\), \(p\in (0, n]\) and \[ \omega(\delta, \mu) = \sup_{z_0\in S_n} |\mu|\big(\big\{\xi\

Weighted Composition Operators from F(p,q,s) Spaces to Hμ∞ Spaces
Let H(B) denote the space of all holomorphic functions on the unit ball B. Let u∈H(B) and φ be a holomorphic self-map of B. In this paper, we investigate the boundedness and compactness of the weighted composition operator uCφ from the general function ...

Concentration of the distance between points in the unit ball
We prove that in every finite dimensional normed space, for “most” pairs (x, y) of points in the unit ball, ║x − y║ is more than √2(1 − ε). As a consequence, we obtain a result proved by Bourgain, using QS-decomposition, that guarantees an exponentially ...

Opportunities of Semiconducting Oxide Nanostructures as Advanced Luminescent Materials in Photonics
The review discusses the challenges of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconducting oxides as a suitable material platform for photonics. They offer great versatility in terms of tuning microstructure, native defects, doping, anisotropy, and micro‐ and nano‐structuring. The review focuses on their light emission, light‐confinement in optical cavities, and
