A comparative study of circulating tumor cell isolation and enumeration technologies in lung cancer
Lung cancer cells were spiked into donor blood to evaluate the recovery rates of the following circulating tumor cell (CTC) enrichment technologies: CellMag™, EasySep™, RosetteSep™, Parsortix® PR1, and Parsortix® Prototype systems. Each method's advantages and disadvantages are described.

Counting sums of exceptional units in $ \mathbb{Z}_n $
Let $ R $ be a commutative ring with the identity $ 1_{R} $, and let $ R^* $ be the multiplicative group of units in $ R $. An element $ a\in R^* $ is called an exceptional unit if there exists a $ b\in R^* $ such that $ a+b = 1_{R} $.

Dual-Band Diffusive Metasurface-Based Reflector With Low Out-of-Band Backscattering
This article describes a dual-band diffusive metasurface-based reflector, with a specular reflection band together with two sidebands which exhibit low radar cross-section (RCS).

Symmetric Hubbard Systems with Superconducting Magnetic Response
In purely repulsive, $C_{4v}$-symmetric Hubbard clusters a correlation effect produces an effective two-body attraction and pairing; the key ingredient is the availability of W=0 pairs, that is, two-body solutions of appropriate symmetry.

Probing the circulation of ring-shaped Bose-Einstein condensates [PDF]
This paper reports the results of a theoretical and experimental study of how the initial circulation of ring-shaped Bose-Einstein condensates (BECs) can be probed by time-of-flight (TOF) images.

Coupling-enabled chirality in terahertz metasurfaces
Chirality prevails in nature and is of great value for molecular biology, medicine, and bioscience. Due to the enhancement of chiroptical responses, chiral metasurfaces has attracted enormous attentions.

The authors applied joint/mixed models that predict mortality of trifluridine/tipiracil‐treated metastatic colorectal cancer patients based on circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) trajectories. Patients at high risk of death could be spared aggressive therapy with the prospect of a higher quality of life in their remaining lifetime, whereas patients with a ...

Adverse prognosis gene expression patterns in metastatic castration‐resistant prostate cancer
We aggregated a cohort of 1012 mCRPC tissue samples from 769 patients and investigated the association of gene expression‐based pathways with clinical outcomes. Loss of AR signaling, high proliferation, and a glycolytic phenotype were independently prognostic for poor outcomes, and an adverse transcriptional feature score incorporating these pathways ...

On Weakly 2-Invo Clean Rings With Some Properties in Graph Theory
The concept of a weakly two-involution clean ring is presented; it is a generalization of two-involution clean ring, which allows the addition of more elements to a ring, which will be observed in its graph theoretic representation.

Partial normalizations of coxeter arrangements and discriminants [PDF]
We study natural partial normalization spaces of Coxeter arrangements and discriminants and relate their geometry to representation theory. The underlying ring structures arise from Dubrovin’s Frobenius manifold structure which is lifted (without unit)
