The Gerschgorin discs under unitary similarity [PDF]
The intersection of the Gerschgorin regions over the unitary similarity orbit of a given matrix is studied. It reduces to the spectrum in some cases: for instance, if the matrix satisfies a quadratic equation, and also for matrices having “large” singular values or diagonal entries. This leads to a number of open questions. 1.

Single- & double-strangeness hypernuclei up to A = 8 within χEFT [PDF]
We investigate S=−1 and −2 hypernuclei with A = 4 − 8 employing the Jacobi-NCSM approach and in combination with baryon-baryon interactions derived within the frame work of chiral effective field theory.

Multi-Attribute Decision Making Based on Attribute Importance Degree and Case-Based Reasoning
To tackle a multi-attribute decision making problem, rough set and casebased reasoning are often combined. However, the reduction in a rough set is always complex.

Characterizations of the dilation of frame generator dual pairs for group
In this paper, we are interested in the dilation problem on frame generator dual pairs for a unitary representation in Hilbert spaces. We show the existence of a Riesz generator dilation dual pair of a frame generator dual pair in Hilbert spaces. Then we

The Three Terms Task - an open benchmark to compare human and artificial semantic representations
Word processing entails retrieval of a unitary yet multidimensional semantic representation (e.g., a lemon’s colour, flavour, possible use) and has been investigated in both cognitive neuroscience and artificial intelligence.

Eliminating the wave-function singularity for ultracold atoms by a similarity transformation
A hyperbolic singularity in the wave function of s-wave interacting atoms is the root problem for any accurate numerical simulation. Here, we apply the transcorrelated method, whereby the wave-function singularity is explicitly described by a two-body ...

Exploring the Structure of Spatial Representations.
It has been suggested that the map-like representations that support human spatial memory are fragmented into sub-maps with local reference frames, rather than being unitary and global. However, the principles underlying the structure of these 'cognitive
