Unitary similarity of matrices with quadratic minimal polynomials
The fact that given complex \(n\times n\) matrices \(A\) and \(B\) are (or are not) unitarily similar can be verified with the help of the Specht-Pearcy criterion [cf. \textit{C. Pearcy}, Pacific J. Math. 12, 1405-1416 (1962; Zbl 0144.37801)]. Its application involves a huge amount of computational work.

A complete unitary similarity invariant for unicellular matrices
We present necessary and sufficient conditions for an n\times n complex matrix B to be unitarily similar to a fixed unicellular (i.e., indecomposable by similarity) n\times n complex matrix ...

Entanglement of purification and projection operator in conformal field theories
We investigate entanglement of purification (EoP) in conformal field theory. By using Reeh-Schlieder theorem, we construct a set of the purification states for ρAB, where ρAB is reduced density matrix for subregion AB of a global state ρ.

A note on multilevel Toeplitz matrices
Chien, Liu, Nakazato and Tam proved that all n × n classical Toeplitz matrices (one-level Toeplitz matrices) are unitarily similar to complex symmetric matrices via two types of unitary matrices and the type of the unitary matrices only depends on the ...

Different Measures of Structural Similarity Tap Different Aspects of Visual Object Processing
The structural similarity of objects has been an important variable in explaining why some objects are easier to categorize at a superordinate level than to individuate, and also why some patients with brain injury have more difficulties in recognizing ...

Perturbations of C*-algebraic invariants [PDF]
Kadison and Kastler introduced a metric on the set of all C*-algebras on a fixed Hilbert space. In this paper structural properties of C*-algebras which are close in this metric are examined.

Single- & double-strangeness hypernuclei up to A = 8 within χEFT [PDF]
We investigate S=−1 and −2 hypernuclei with A = 4 − 8 employing the Jacobi-NCSM approach and in combination with baryon-baryon interactions derived within the frame work of chiral effective field theory.
