E2A selectively regulates TGF‐β–induced apoptosis in KRAS‐mutant non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ability to induce apoptosis by TGF‐β is frequently lost in advanced lung adenocarcinoma despite intact TGF‐β signaling. We identify E2A as a mutant KRAS–dependent mediator of resistance to TGF‐β–induced apoptosis. TGF‐β induces E2A via SMAD3 in mutant KRAS cells, and E2A silencing restores apoptosis and enhances radiation response in cell lines ...

Dynamically scheduled Cholesky factorization on multicore architectures with GPU accelerators.

open access: yes, 2010
International audienceAlthough the hardware has dramatically changed in the last few years, nodes of multicore chips augmented by Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) seem to be a trend of major importance.

A multi-platform evaluation of the randomized CX low-rank matrix factorization in Spark: [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We investigate the performance and scalability of the randomized CX low-rank matrix factorization and demonstrate its applicability through the analysis of a 1TB mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) dataset, using Apache Spark on an Amazon EC2 cluster, a Cray

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

A GPU-Accelerated SVD Algorithm, Based on QR Factorization and Givens Rotations, for DWI Denoising

open access: yes, 2016
In this work, we present a parallel implementation of the Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) method on Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) using CUDA programming model.

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

A GALOIS THEORY WITH STABLE UNITS FOR SIMPLICIAL SETS

open access: yes, 2008
. We recall and reformulate certain known constructions, in order to make a convenient setting for obtaining generalized monotone-light factorizations in the sense of A. Carboni, G. Janelidze, G. M. Kelly and R. Paré.

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

On the Artin formalism for $p$-adic Garrett--Rankin $L$-functions

open access: yes, 2023
Our main objective in the present article is to study the factorization problem for triple-product $p$-adic $L$-functions, particularly in the scenarios when the defining properties of the $p$-adic $L$-functions involved have no bearing on this problem ...
