We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

Studies on the number theory of orders
Bibliography: pages 78-81.In the nineteenth century no distinction was drawn between maximal and nonmaximal orders in a numberfield. Most of the work on orders in this period was done by Dedekind and Kronecker.

Minor corrections and new numerical resultsWe use the polynomials m_s(t) = t^2 − 4s, s ∈ {−1, 1}, in an elementary process giving arbitrary large lists of fundamental units of quadratic fields of discriminants listed in ascending order.

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Discovering phone patterns in spoken utterances by non-negative matrix factorization
We present a technique to automatically discover the (word-sized) phone patterns that are present in speech utterances. These patterns are learnt from a set of phone lattices generated from the utterances.

Patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) from pancreatic, colorectal, and gastric cancers were used to evaluate standard and experimental therapies. Incorporating cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) into organoid cultures improved patient therapy outcome prediction.

Matrix Factorization for Learning Metagenomic Pathways and Species
This work considers learning meaningful sets of chemical reactions called pathways and groups of species called Operational Taxonomical Units (OTUs) from metagenomic data. The methods are based on Nonnegative Matrix Factorization (NMF).

Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Internal monotone-light factorization for categories via preorders
It is shown that, for a finitely-complete category C with coequalizers of kernel pairs, if every product-regular epi is also stably-regular then there exist the reflections (R)Grphs(C) → (R)Rel(C), from (reflexive) graphs into (reflexive) relations in C,

Understanding flexibility in the neural control of movement requires identifying the distribution of common inputs to the motor units. In this study, we identified large samples of motor units from two lower limb muscles: the vastus lateralis (VL; up to ...
