Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

An iterative, residual-based approach to unsupervised musical source separation in single-channel mixtures [PDF]
This thesis concentrates on a major problem within audio signal processing, the separation of source signals from musical mixtures when only a single mixture channel is available.

Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Abstract factorization theorems with applications to idempotent factorizations [PDF]
Let ⪯ be a preorder on a monoid H with identity 1H and s be an integer ≥ 2. The ⪯-height of an element x ∈ H is the supremum of the integers k ≥ 1 for which there is a (strictly) ⪯-decreasing sequence x1, ..., xk of ⪯-non-units of H with x1 = x, where u ∈

We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Sparse LU Factorization for Large Circuit Matrices on Heterogenous Parallel Computing Platforms [PDF]
Direct sparse solvers are traditionally known to be robust, yet difficult to parallelize. In the context of circuit simulators, they present an important bottleneck where the key steps of LU factorization and forward-backward substitution are repeatedly ...

Speech Audio Synthesis from Tagged MRI and Non-Negative Matrix Factorization via Plastic Transformer
The tongue's intricate 3D structure, comprising localized functional units, plays a crucial role in the production of speech. When measured using tagged MRI, these functional units exhibit cohesive displacements and derived quantities that facilitate the

In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...
