Scaling and universality in urban economic diversification
Understanding cities is central to addressing major global challenges from climate change to economic resilience. Although increasingly perceived as fundamental socio-economic units, the detailed fabric of urban economic activities is only recently ...

Molecular determinants of signal transduction in tropomyosin receptor kinases
Tropomyosin receptor kinases control critical neuronal functions, but how do the same receptors produce diverse cellular responses? This review explores the structural mechanisms behind Trk signaling diversity, focusing on allosteric modulation and ligand bias.

ATP13A2 is involved in intracellular polyamine transport in lung epithelial cells
Spermidine transport in lung epithelial cells involves the polyamine transporter ATP13A2. Cell proliferation is associated with the upregulation of ATP13A2. Polyamines are present in all living cells and are implicated in various crucial cellular processes such as proliferation, apoptosis and autophagy.

A Mixed Joint Universality Theorem for Zeta-Functions. II
In the paper, a joint universality theorem on the approximation of analytic functions for zeta-function of a normalized Hecke eigen cusp form and a collection of periodic Hurwitz zeta-functions with algebraically independent parameters is obtained.

Mom Knows Best: The Universality of Maternal Microbial Transmission
The sterile womb paradigm is an enduring premise in biology that human infants are born sterile. Recent studies suggest that infants incorporate an initial microbiome before birth and receive copious supplementation of maternal microbes through birth and

SIRT4 positively regulates autophagy via ULK1, but independently of HDAC6 and OPA1
Cells expressing SIRT4 (H161Y), a catalytically inactive mutant of the sirtuin SIRT4, fail to upregulate LC3B‐II and exhibit a reduced autophagic flux under stress conditions. Interestingly, SIRT4(H161Y) promotes phosphorylation of ULK1 at S638 and S758 that are associated with inhibition of autophagy initiation.
