Kinematic Analysis and Dynamic Optimization Simulation of a Novel Unpowered Exoskeleton with Parallel Topology

open access: yesJournal of Robotics, 2019
This paper studies the kinematic and dynamic analysis of a novel unpowered exoskeleton with topology. Firstly, the kinematics of the unpowered exoskeleton is analyzed by the derivation of the closed-loop position equation, and the forward position ...

Design and Characterization of a Dual‐Mode Soft Robotic Flapping Propeller With Pneumatic Stiffness Modulation

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A novel soft robotic propeller overcomes traditional efficiency‐flexibility tradeoffs via a hybrid pneumatic‐cable actuation strategy. This architecture enables active stiffness modulation with dual‐mode locomotion: tunable biomimetic swimming and earthworm‐inspired wriggling for confined spaces.

Persistent magnetic resonance imaging‐derived static anterior tibial translation after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction is associated with elevated cartilage T2 relaxation times but not serum biomarkers

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose Persistent, static anterior tibial translation (sATT) alterations following anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) may influence cartilage health. T2 relaxation times and serum biomarkers of cartilage degradation/bone resorption provide insight into osteoarthritis development.

Regulating Metabolic Energy Among Joints During Human Walking Using a Multiarticular Unpowered Exoskeleton

open access: yesIEEE transactions on neural systems and rehabilitation engineering, 2021
Researchers have found that the walking economy can be enhanced by recycling ankle metabolic energy using an unpowered ankle exoskeleton. However, how to regulate multiarticular energy to enhance the overall energy efficiency of humans during walking ...

Tailoring Model‐Based Systems Engineering for Sub‐100 g PlanarSats: A Power‐First View Stack

open access: yesSystems Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper addresses how to apply model‐based systems engineering (MBSE) to ultrasmall planar satellites under severe power and resource constraints. PlanarSats are sub‐100‐gram spacecraft built as single printed‐circuit boards where the same surface must host both electronics and solar cells, so power generation, geometry, and component ...

Platelet function in patients undergoing major non‐cardiac vascular surgery (PLUGS): a prospective cohort study*

open access: yesAnaesthesia, Volume 81, Issue 9, Page 1236-1244, September 2026.
Summary Introduction Patients who require major vascular surgery often receive antiplatelet therapy for primary or secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease. Clopidogrel resistance and variability in platelet recovery after drug discontinuation pose clinical challenges, particularly for regional anaesthesia and blood management.
