Redundant queuing system with unreliable servers
2014 6th International Congress on Ultra Modern Telecommunications and Control Systems and Workshops (ICUMT), 2014We consider a two-channel queuing system with unreliable servers which fail alternately for modeling of hybrid communication systems, which have a millimeter-wave (71–76 GHz, 81–86 GHz) radio channel as a backup communication channel. The stationary distribution of the system states and the most important performance characteristics were obtained.

RSerPool - Providing Highly Available Services using Unreliable Servers
The Reliable Server Pooling (RSerPool) protocol suite currently under standardization by the IETF is designed to build systems providing highly available services by mechanisms and protocols for establishing, configuring, accessing and monitoring pools of server resources.

Queueing Systems with Unreliable Servers in a Random Environment
Springer Proceedings in Mathematics and Statistics, 2014A single-server queueing system with a Poisson input and an unreliable server is studied. The breakdowns of the server are connected to a certain external factor, defined by a regenerative stochastic process. In this paper one assumes that the arrival process, customers’s service times, and an external environment are mutually independent.

We consider a Markovian queueing system with two unreliable heterogeneous servers and one common queue. The servers serve customers without preemption and fail only if they are busy.
