Capacities of Unsignalized Intersections under Mixed Vehicular and Nonmotorized Traffic Conditions
Unsignalized intersections consist of three types–-two-way stop-controlled, all-way stop-controlled, and uncontrolled intersections–- all with different priority relationships between traffic movements according to traffic laws.

An adversarial diverse deep ensemble approach for surrogate‐based traffic signal optimization
Abstract Surrogate‐based traffic signal optimization (TSO) is a computationally efficient alternative to simulation‐based TSO. By replacing the simulation‐based objective function, a surrogate model can quickly identify solutions by searching for extreme points on its response surface. As a popular surrogate model, the ensemble of multiple diverse deep

Capacity estimation of unsignalized intersections under heterogeneous traffic conditions
Capacity of movements at unsignalized intersections are usually estimated based on gap acceptance theory and accuracy of such estimation largely depends on the extent to which its inherent assumptions are satisfied.

In-vehicle traffic lights that assist drivers in crossing intersections are in development; however, the availability of the in-vehicle traffic light will be limited if the waiting time of a vehicle is not considered in actual traffic conditions ...

Modeling Crossing Conflicts at Unsignalized T-Intersections under Heterogeneous Traffic Conditions
The safety of unsignalized intersections is evaluated by correlating the number of crashes with traffic volume and intersection geometry. However, crash-based safety assessment has known drawbacks related to data quality and coverage.

This article proposes an edge‐computing‐based CAV operation at a stop‐controlled intersection. It investigates different cooperation classes at a stop‐controlled intersection. The numerical experiments show that mobility and energy efficiency are improved as the cooperation class increases. Computational time is much reduced with the proposed framework.

Enhancing Intersection Safety at Uncontrolled Three‐Legged Intersections Through Assessment of Risk
This study focuses on exploring the relationship between accepted gap and risk, as well as quantifying the level‐of‐risk and severity (LORS) to design effective safety measures for reducing accident severity at uncontrolled three‐legged intersections.

Capacity of Unsignalized Intersections under Mixed Traffic Conditions
A new method of capacity analysis at unsignalized intersections has been developed in this study for Indonesia where the drivers’ behavior, traffic composition, level of roadside activities are different from those in developed countries.
