Handbook of Establishing and Maintaining Oxygen‐Free Atmospheres
This study presents a practical framework for creating oxygen‐free atmospheres at ambient pressure using silane‐doped inert gases. The results show that ultra‐low oxygen levels and strongly reduced water content can be achieved through controlled silane dosing, drying systems, and sensor monitoring.

Rapid SLAM Method for Star Surface Rover in Unstructured Space Environments
The space environment is characterized by unstructured features, sparsity, and poor lighting conditions. The difficulty in extracting features from the visual frontend of traditional SLAM methods results in poor localization and time-consuming issues ...

Oxide‐Free Titanium Coatings by Wire Arc Spraying in a Silane‐Doped Inert Atmosphere
A silane‐doped argon atmosphere enables the production of oxide‐free titanium coatings via twin‐wire arc spraying at ambient pressure. This innovative approach eliminates residual oxygen, creating process conditions that prevent oxidation and nitride formation.

An evaluation of scaffolding for virtual interactive tutorials [PDF]
Scaffolding refers to a temporary support framework used during construction. Applied to teaching and learning it describes measures to support a learner to become confident and self-reliant in a subject. In a Web environment scaffolding features need to

Walking in unstructured natural environments
In this paper we present a complete behavior-based controller that allows a six legged robot to walk in unstructured environments. the task of walking on rough terrain is decomposed in two subtasks: terrain adaptation and movement generation. The first one maintains the stability of the robot while the second is in charge of the advance movement.

Application of Raman and Photoluminescence Spectroscopy to MgO‐C Refractories
Visible to near infrared luminescence of MgO is studied on MgO‐C bricks and nominally pure MgO powder, with focus on two similar sharp high‐intensity signals, at 699 and 871 nm, each surrounded by symmetrical sidebands. The nature of these sidebands is investigated by temperature‐dependent spectroscopic measurements, confirming phonon involvement by ...

Robotic perception and control for a demolition task in unstructured environments [PDF]
The construction industry is a capital-intensive sector that has steadily turned towards mechanized and automated solutions in the last few decades. However, due to some specificities of this field, it is still technologically behind other sectors, like ...

Disordered (Fe50Co50)1−xPtx thin films exhibit a pronounced anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) with a strong composition dependence on both rigid and flexible substrates. The transverse thermoelectric response peaks near 22.5 at.% Pt, accompanied by enhanced αxy/σxy scaling, thermal transport, and ANE sensitivity.
