ABSTRACT Background and Aims Vedolizumab has become the preferred first‐line advanced therapy in ulcerative colitis (UC). However, the optimal second‐line treatment following vedolizumab failure remains unclear. We aimed to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of second‐line therapies after first‐line vedolizumab.

Modelling and control of a variable-speed switched reluctance generator based wind turbine [PDF]
This paper studies the system modelling and control aspects of switched reluctance generator (SRG) based variable speed wind turbines. A control system is implemented to provide proper operation of the SRG as well as power tracking capabilities for ...

Clinical heterogeneity in vitiligo: Identification of clinical markers based patient clusters
Vitiligo is a chronic autoimmune disease with heterogeneous clinical presentations. This study analysed 399 patients using hierarchical clustering and identified five phenotypes based on clinical characteristics and lesion distribution. Two groups exhibited high disease activity and extensive involvement.

Risk Assessment and Management of Brucella canis Introduction via Commercial Dog Imports Into France
ABSTRACT Canine brucellosis, caused by Brucella canis, is a likely underdiagnosed zoonotic disease that leads to reproductive failure in dogs and economic losses for kennels. Since 2020, cases in mainland France have been on the rise, with most attributed to the importation of dogs from Eastern Europe. However, the risk of introducing B.

Comparison of adhesin genes and antimicrobial susceptibilities between uropathogenic and intestinal commensal Escherichia coli strains. [PDF]
The presence of adhesins is arguably an important determinant of pathogenicity for Uropathogenic Escherichia coli (UPEC). Antimicrobial susceptibilities were tested by agar dilution method, fifteen adhesin genes were detected by polymerase chain reaction,
