A remark on Gwinner's existence theorem on variational inequality problem
Gwinner (1981) proved an existence theorem for a variational inequality problem involving an upper semicontinuous multifunction with compact convex values. The aim of this paper is to solve this problem for a multifunction with open inverse values.

Abstract Among the Porphyridium genus, Porphyridium marinum exhibits the highest phycoerythrin (PE) content. In this study, the metabolic trade‐off between biomass, PE, and sulfated exopolysaccharide (EPS) production was assessed under varying nitrogen and sulfur availability, light intensity, residence time, and cultivation mode.

Simple incentives and diverse beliefs
This paper studies a moral hazard problem in which the principal does not know the agent's beliefs about the output generating process. The agent is risk neutral, transfers are subject to limited liability, and the principal evaluates contracts according to their worst‐case payoff against a rich set of plausible agent beliefs.

Common fixed point theorems for semigroups on metric spaces
This paper consists of two main results. The first one shows that if S is a left reversible semigroup of selfmaps on a complete metric space (M,d) such that there is a gauge function φ for which d(f(x),f(y))≤φ(δ(Of (x,y))) for f∈S and x,y in M, where δ ...

The oscillation of separately locally Lipschitz functions
We prove that a function which dened on the product of two metric Baire spaces is the oscillation of some separately locally Lipschitz function if and only if it is an upper semicontinuous non-negative function which has a crosswise nowhere dense closure

From Copper Nanoparticles to Alumina Encapsulated Porous Layers With Enhanced Mechanical Stability
This study analyzes the synthesis‐structure relation of individual Cu nanoparticles and highly porous nanoparticle‐based Cu films using different sputtering‐based nanoparticle sources. The inherent mechanical instability of the films is tackled with Al2O3 encapsulation through atomic layer deposition, enabling 4‐fold increase in critical force in ...

Condensing Mappings and Best Proximity Point Results
Best proximity pair results are proved for noncyclic relatively u-continuous condensing mappings. In addition, best proximity points of upper semicontinuous mappings are obtained which are also fixed points of noncyclic relatively u-continuous condensing

Quasibounded solutions to the complex Monge–Ampère equation
Abstract We study the Dirichlet problem for the complex Monge–Ampère operator on B‐regular domains in Cn$\mathbb {C}^n$, allowing boundary data that is singular or unbounded. We extend the concept of pluri‐quasibounded functions on the domain to functions on the boundary, defined by the existence of plurisuperharmonic majorants that dominate their ...

Our aim is to investigate the long-time behavior in terms of upper semicontinuous property of uniform attractors for the 2D nonautonomous Navier-Stokes equations with linear damping and nonautonomous perturbation external force, that is, the convergence ...
