Quartz Crystal Microbalance Sensitivity Loss During Ionic Liquid Deposition: Insights into Film Structure and Morphology

open access: yesChemPhysChem, Volume 27, Issue 7, 14 April 2026.
Vapor‐deposited ionic liquid films on Au‐coated QCMs evolve from confined, rigidly coupled layers to viscoelastic, bulk‐like overlayers as coverage increases. This transition explains the loss of QCM sensitivity and demonstrates how nanoscale confinement, substrate roughness, and IL properties govern reliable mass detection.

Temporal left ventricular ejection fraction variations and outcomes in wide population of cardiovascular patients with and without heart failure

open access: yesFrontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine
IntroductionHeart failure (HF) with improved ejection fraction (HFimpEF) was shown to be related with improved outcome but increase of left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) in patients without HF is of less known clinical significance. The aim of the

Yersinia enterocolitica O:3 Outer Membrane Vesicles as a Platform for Complement Activation

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Vesicles, Volume 15, Issue 4, April 2026.
Basic characteristics and biological activity of outer membrane vesicles (OMVs) secreted by Yersinia enterocolitica O:3 (YeO3), depending on LPS chemotype and growth temperature. ABSTRACT Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) is the major component of the outer membrane vesicles (OMVs) of Gram‐negative bacteria.

LamelODF: a MATLAB‐based toolbox for orientation distribution analysis and mapping of lamellar minerals for laboratory and synchrotron X‐ray diffractometers

open access: yesJournal of Applied Crystallography, Volume 59, Issue 2, Page 648-661, April 2026.
LamelODF is a MATLAB‐based toolbox aimed at simplifying the automated extraction of orientation distribution functions from 2D X‐ray diffraction data of lamellar minerals in transmission mode. It accommodates both laboratory and synchrotron data formats, providing an integrated pipeline from raw data to spatially resolved textural maps, enabling robust
