Decomposition of Lie automorphisms of upper triangular matrix algebra over commutative rings

open access: yesLinear Algebra and its Applications, 2006
Let 2 be an invertible element in the commutative ring \(R\) and let \(T_{n+1}(R)\) be the algebra of \((n+1)\times (n+1)\) upper triangular matrices with entries in \(R\). In the paper under review the authors describe the Lie automorphisms of \(T_{n+1}(R)\), i.e. the \(R\)-module automorphisms \(\varphi\) of \(T_{n+1}(R)\) with the property \(\varphi(

Ultrathin Li Metal Anodes: Quantitative Design Principles and Manufacturability Across Liquid and Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Ultrathin lithium metal anodes (≤15 µm) offer a promising route to high‐energy‐density batteries due to their high capacity and low potential. This review presents design principles for ultrathin Li, evaluates fabrication strategies, and discusses challenges in liquid and solid‐state cells.

Jordan left derivations in infinite matrix rings

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica
Let RR be a unital associative ring. Our motivation is to prove that left derivations in column finite matrix rings over RR are equal to zero and demonstrate that a left derivation d:T→Td:{\mathcal{T}}\to {\mathcal{T}} in the infinite upper triangular ...

Tailoring Phonon‐Driven Responses in α‐MoO3 through Isotopic Enrichment

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The implementation of polaritonic materials into nanoscale devices requires selective tuning of parameters to realize desired spectral or thermal responses. One robust material, α‐MoO3, an orthorhombic crystal boasting three distinct phonon dispersions, provides three polaritonic dispersions of hyperbolic phonon polaritons (HPhPs) across the ...

LU Decomposition of δ-Vandermonde Matrices

open access: yesIEEE Access
A Matrix that have its $i$ -th row formed by consecutive powers (starting with 0 power) of an element $x_{i}$ is called a Vandermonde matrix, this kind of matrix has a lot of applications like: polynomial interpolation, least squares regression, error

A Survey of Interlayer Interaction Models for Graphene and Other 2D Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Van der Waals interactions arising from electronic polarization at atomically close interfaces generate corrugated interlayer energy landscapes that govern normal and tangential tractions. This review presents an overview of quantum, atomistic, analytical, and continuum modeling approaches, highlighting their roles across length scales in capturing ...

Flexible Pressure Sensor With Co‐Optimized Sensitivity and Linearity Based on Gradient Toroidal Microstructures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A flexible piezoresistive pressure sensor with gradient toroidal CNT/PDMS microstructures is reported. The hierarchical geometry enables sequential electrode contact, achieving a sensitivity of 256.20 kPa−1 and linear response (R2 = 0.99) over 0–1000 kPa.

Coninvolutions on Upper Triangular Matrix Group over the Ring of Gaussian Integers and Quaternions integers modulo $p$

open access: yes, 2020
In this article we give various formulates for compute the number of all coninvolutions over the group of upper triangular matrix with entries into the ring of Gaussian integers module $p$ and the ring of Quaternions integers module $p$, with $p$ an odd prime number.

On the relation between one-sided duoness and commutators

open access: yesOpen Mathematics
This article studies the structure of rings RR over which the 2×22\times 2 upper triangular matrix rings with the same diagonal are right duo, denoted by D2(R){D}_{2}\left(R).
