Utilization of the wing-body aerodynamic analysis program [PDF]
The analysis program was used to investigate several aircraft characteristics. The studies performed included vehicle stability analysis, determination of upwash angle, identification of nonpotential flow, launch dynamics, and wake vortex upset loads ...

Apparatus for welding blades to rotors [PDF]
Using magnetic force upset welding to form T-joints between dissimilar thickness parts. This type of resistance welding is used to join compressor and turbine parts thereby reducing the weight and cost of a jet ...

Low-Power and High-Performance Double-Node-Upset-Tolerant Latch Using Input-Splitting C-Element
Data accuracy is critical for sensor systems. As essential components of digital circuits within sensor systems, nanoscale CMOS latches are particularly susceptible to single-node upsets (SNUs) and double-node upsets (DNUs), which can lead to data errors.

Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

PACAP upsets stomach theory [PDF]
Gastric acid secretion plays an essential role in the pathogenesis of peptic ulcer disease and gastroesophageal reflux disease. These chronic recurring diseases affect approximately 20–40% of the adult population (1) and result in significant morbidity, lost work, and billions of health care dollars.

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...
