Concentration of uracil nucleotides and UDP-glucose in mouse liver after partial hepatectomy
International Journal of Biochemistry, 1978Abstract 1. 1. The UTP and UDP concentration of mouse liver was not significantly affected by the partial hepatectomy, whereas the size of the UMP pool increased 3- to 4-fold when compared to unoperated controls. 2. 2. In regenerating liver, the UDP-glucose concentration decreased by 20% or more when compared to unoperated controls. 3. 3.

Triplet state studies of the nucleoside and nucleotide derivatives of uracil and thymine
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Nucleic Acids and Protein Synthesis, 1972Abstract Transient absorbing species due to the triplet states of uridine, 5′-uridylic acid, thymidine and 5′-thymidylic acid have been studied by flash photolysis and compared with those of the triplet states of uracil and thymine. These transients are quenched by oxygen and by their ground states with bimolecular rate constants of 6 · 10 8 , 5 · 10

Pharmacological characterization of Uracil nucleotide-sensitive P2Y receptors in mouse ileum
2010Since uracil nucleotide-preferring receptors, belonging to the P2Y receptor family and responding to either uridine triphosphate (UTP) or uridine diphosphate (UDP), have been proposed to be present at different cellular level in the gut, regulating various functions, we aimed to investigate whether their activation by uracil nucleotides may modulate ...
