Influence of Urea Fertilization with and without Inhibitors on Growth and Yield of Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.) under Different Tillage Practices

open access: yesBulletin of University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca: Horticulture, 2022
Nitrogen fertilization is important for plant development. Because of the problems caused by urea, which is mainly used in nitrogen fertilizers, new types of fertilizers have inhibitors, that control the fertile disposal in soil.

Stabilizing Functional Nucleic Acids for Real‐Sample Diagnostics

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Functional nucleic acids enable programmable real‐sample diagnostics, but often lose function in complex biological matrices. This review highlights four stabilization levers—chemical, topological, architectural, and microenvironment/interface engineering—that preserve aptamer and DNAzyme performance in saliva, serum, urine, and stool, reframing ...

Ammonia volatilization of urea in the out-of-season corn Volatilização de amônia da ureia na cultura do milho safrinha

open access: yesRevista Brasileira de Ciência do Solo, 2009
The aim of this study was to evaluate the N losses due to volatilization at different rates of common urea, polymer coated urea and urease inhibitor-treated urea in the out-of-season corn, using semi-open static collectors.

Arylmethylene hydrazine derivatives containing 1,3-dimethylbarbituric moiety as novel urease inhibitors

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
A new series of arylmethylene hydrazine derivatives bearing 1,3-dimethylbarbituric moiety 7a–o were designed, synthesized, and evaluated for their in vitro urease inhibitory activity. All the title compounds displayed high anti-urease activity, with IC50

Exploration of morpholine-thiophene hybrid thiosemicarbazones for the treatment of ureolytic bacterial infections via targeting urease enzyme: Synthesis, biochemical screening and computational analysis

open access: yesFrontiers in Chemistry
An important component of the pathogenicity of potentially pathogenic bacteria in humans is the urease enzyme. In order to avoid the detrimental impact of ureolytic bacterial infections, the inhibition of urease enzyme appears to be an appealing approach.

Electron Bridge Enhanced Charge Polarization Enables Efficient and Ultra‐Long Stable Urea Electrosynthesis

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
An electron bridge strategy is developed to regulate charge polarization in Pd1 and Ni1 dual single‐atom sites, promoting CO2 reduction, nitrate reduction, and C–N coupling simultaneously. The resulting catalyst achieves efficient urea electrosynthesis with high activity and record durability over 1700 h.
