β‐Glucuronidase‐Expressing Lactobacillus reuteri Triggers Irinotecan Enterotoxicity Through Depleting the Regenerative Epithelial Stem/Progenitor Pool

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 26, July 10, 2025.
XLP mitigated CPT11 mucositis by suppressing GUS‐expressing microbes, notably L. reuteri, and diminishing bacterial GUS activity, consequently reducing SN38 accumulation to protect the intestinal epithelium. This preservation of the mucosal stem cell niche enabled rapid regeneration of secretory lineages such as mucin‐producing goblet cells, which ...

Temporal Galactose‐Manganese Feeding in Fed‐Batch and Perfusion Bioreactors Modulates UDP‐Galactose Pools for Enhanced mAb Glycosylation Homogeneity

open access: yesBiotechnology and Bioengineering, Volume 122, Issue 7, Page 1710-1723, July 2025.
This study investigates the temporal effects of galactose and manganese on the N‐glycosylation of Trastuzumab (mAb) antibody during fed‐batch and perfusion bioprocessing modes to reveal the influence of feeding schedules on mAb N‐glycosylation patterns. These findings will aid in building process control schemes for mAb bioprocessing.

Transcriptome and WGCNA Reveal the Key Genes of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi in Regulating Sugarcane Growth and Nutrient Absorption

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 13, Issue 7, July 2025.
AM fungal inoculation boosted sugarcane biomass and improved rhizosphere soil nutrient levels. RNA‐seq and WGCNA revealed gene modules linked to nutrient uptake and growth, differentiating above‐ and belowground responses. Hub genes (CESA9, ANR, CYCP4, LHA1, SUS4, RPS15AE, CNGC2) were identified as key regulators of sugarcane growth and nutrient ...

Control of Nucleotide Metabolism and Ribosomal Ribonucleic Acid Synthesis During Nitrogen Starvation of \u3cem\u3eEscherichia coli\u3c/em\u3e [PDF]

open access: yes, 1972
Ribosomal ribonucleic acid (RNA) synthesis and ribonucleoside triphosphate metabolism were studied in cultures of Escherichia coli subjected to starvation for inorganic nitrogen.

Morin as a Modulator of Hepatic Glucose Fluxes: A Balance Between Antihyperglycemic Potential and Mitochondrial Toxicity

open access: yesJournal of Biochemical and Molecular Toxicology, Volume 39, Issue 7, July 2025.
Morin modulates hepatic glucose metabolism by inhibiting gluconeogenesis and enhancing glycogenolysis in perfused rat livers. These effects, partly attributed to mitochondrial dysfunction and impaired oxidative phosphorylation, are accompanied by decreased ATP levels and enzyme inhibition, raising concerns about bioenergetic imbalance and potential ...
