Uridine Triphosphate Thio Analogues Inhibit Platelet P2Y12 Receptor and Aggregation. [PDF]
Platelet P2Y12 is an important adenosine diphosphate (ADP) receptor that is involved in agonist-induced platelet aggregation and is a valuable target for the development of anti-platelet drugs. Here we characterise the effects of thio analogues of uridine triphosphate (UTP) on ADP-induced platelet aggregation.

Regulation of the osteogenic and adipogenic differentiation of bone marrow-derived stromal cells by extracellular uridine triphosphate: The role of P2Y2 receptor and ERK1/2 signaling. [PDF]
An imbalance in the osteogenesis and adipogenesis of bone marrow-derived stromal cells (BMSCs) is a crucial pathological factor in the development of osteoporosis.

Uridine 5'-triphosphate promotes in vitro Schwannoma cell migration through matrix metalloproteinase-2 activation. [PDF]
In response to peripheral nerve injury, Schwann cells adopt a migratory phenotype and modify the extracellular matrix to make it permissive for cell migration and axonal re-growth.

Modulation of Rat Tissue Galactose-1-Phosphate Uridyltransferase by Uridine and Uridine Triphosphate [PDF]
Uridine-containing sugar nucleotides, uridine diphosphate (UDP)-glucose and UDPgalactose are important intermediates in galactose metabolism, and tissue UDPgalactose may be a salient factor in the etiology of the long-term clinical manifestations of patients with galactose-1-phosphate uridyltransferase deficient galactosemia.

Do Cyclosporine A, an IL-1 Receptor Antagonist, Uridine Triphosphate, Rebamipide, and/or Bimatoprost Regulate Human Meibomian Gland Epithelial Cells? [PDF]
Purpose Researchers have hypothesized that treatment with cyclosporine A (CyA), interleukin-1 receptor antagonists (IL-1RA; e.g., anakinra), P2Y2 receptor agonists (e.g., uridine triphosphate; UTP), and rebamipide may alleviate human meibomian gland ...

Bacillus anthracis Edema Factor Substrate Specificity: Evidence for New Modes of Action [PDF]
Since the isolation of Bacillus anthracis exotoxins in the 1960s, the detrimental activity of edema factor (EF) was considered as adenylyl cyclase activity only.

4-Alkyloxyimino Derivatives of Uridine-5′-triphosphate: Distal Modification of Potent Agonists as a Strategy for Molecular Probes of P2Y2, P2Y4, and P2Y6Receptors [PDF]
Extended N4-(3-arylpropyl)oxy derivatives of uridine-5′-triphosphate were synthesized and potently stimulated phospholipase C stimulation in astrocytoma cells expressing G protein-coupled human (h) P2Y receptors (P2YRs) activated by UTP (P2Y2/4R) or UDP (

Depletion of cytidine triphosphate as a consequence of cellular uridine triphosphate deficiency [PDF]
The synthesis of CTP from UTP, catalyzed by CTP synthetase (EC 6.3.4.2), would imply that severe UTP deficiency causes a reduction of cellular CTP synthesis followed by a decrease in CTP pools. By contrast, UTP depletion induced by D-galactosamine in rat liver in vivo has been shown to be associated with a 2-fold increase in the hepatic content of CTP [

Uridine 5′-Triphosphate Stimulates Alveolar Fluid Clearance in the Isolated Rat Lungs
Uridine 5′-triphosphate (UTP) increases chloride secretion followed by fluid movement into the proximal airspaces. However, little is known about whether UTP affects fluid movement in the distal airspaces.
