Kimura disease, though rare in adolescents, should be considered in cases of persistent itchy nodules. Histopathology confirms diagnosis. Surgical excision is effective for localized lesions, with favorable outcomes.

Histidine Metabolism in Urticaria Pigmentosa*
Urticaria pigmentosa, one form of mastocytosis, is usually manifested by the presence of widely-distributed brownish macules which urti-cate with mild trauma. Histologically the lesions are characterized by a heavy mast cell infiltrate of the dermis. Mast cells have been shown by Riley (1) to contain large amounts of histamine.
