Quantitative trace hydrogen distributions in natural diamond using 3D-micro-ERDA microscopy

Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section B: Beam Interactions with Materials and Atoms, 1998
Abstract A 3-D quantitative microscopy for minor distributions of surface and near-surface bulk hydrogen in solid samples has been developed. The technique employs a 15 MeV Si 7+ microbeam and a two-dimensional position sensitive detector (2D PSD) with event reconstruction in an Elastic Recoil Detection Analysis (ERDA) geometry.

Optimization of the depth resolution in ERDA of H using 12C ions

Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section B: Beam Interactions with Materials and Atoms, 1994
Abstract Depth resolution is one important parameter in the depth profiling of H by elastic recoil detection analysis (ERDA). We report on depth resolution measurements and compare them with those calculated by the DEPTH code [E. Szilagyi and F. Paszti, these Proceedings (IBA-11, Balatonfured, Hungary, 1993) Nucl. Quantitative analysis of thin film compositions using EFTEM combined with RBS and ERDA

Microelectronic Engineering, 2007
Analytical electron microscopy today is an emerging technique allowing for the composition analysis of solids with high spatial resolution down to 1nm or less. In particular energy filtered transmission electron microscopy (EFTEM) is becoming a technique which is frequently applied to study nanometric semiconductor device features. Among the advantages

Quantitative analysis of hydrogen using TOF ERDA spectroscopy

2008
Time-of-Flight Elastic Recoil Detection Analysis (TOF ERDA) is a well established and powerful ion beam analytical technique. Method is used for simultaneous, quantitative elemental depth distributions of light and medium mass elements in both light and heavy matrices.

Using ERDAS to extract and estimate the rice planting area of Hubei Province

2011 International Conference on Remote Sensing, Environment and Transportation Engineering, 2011
Having been one of an important application on remote sensing monitoring of rice, information extraction and estimation of large rice planting area timely is likely to be more difficult, only depending on the former on-the-spot investigation.

Determination of hydrogen content in geological samples using elastic recoil detection analysis (ERDA)

Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta, 2009
Abstract The present study illustrates the interest of using the elastic recoil detection analysis (ERDA) method to characterize any geological sample matrix with respect to hydrogen. ERDA is combined with Rutherford back scattering (RBS) and particle induced X-ray emission (PIXE), allowing the simultaneous characterization of the matrix with respect

Simultaneous analysis of Li and B in amorphous thin film glasses using ERDA

Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section B: Beam Interactions with Materials and Atoms, 1992
Abstract Starting from Li2O-B2O3-SiO2 melts of definite composition thin amorphous films were prepared on glass substrates by physical vapor deposition. The conventional ERDA proved helpful to analyse the lithium to boron concentration ratios in the layers of any thickness and in the compact initial glass material.

High energy ERDA with very heavy ions using mass and energy dispersive spectrometry

Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section B: Beam Interactions with Materials and Atoms, 1992
The capabilities of the elastic recoil detection analysis (ERDA) method for depth profiling are investigated using high energy very heavy ion beams with energies close to the Coulomb barrier from the VICKSI accelerator and mass and energy dispersive recoil spectrometry by means of a time-of-flight energy detector telescope.

Simultaneous multielement ERDA using a simple detector system and extremely heavy ion beams

Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section B: Beam Interactions with Materials and Atoms, 1996
Abstract The use of very heavy ion beams such as Au or Bi in elastic recoil detection analysis (ERDA) is increasing rapidly. However, one of the experimental problems is the simultaneous detection of the full range of recoil atoms ejected by such extremely heavy ion beams, since all low-mass surface recoils have almost identical velocity and also ...

Land cover classification of SSC image: unsupervised and supervised classification using ERDAS imagine

IEEE International IEEE International IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2004. IGARSS '04. Proceedings. 2004, 2004
NASA's Earth Sciences program is primarily focused on providing high quality data products to its science community. NASA also recognizes the need to increase its involvement with the general public, including areas of information and education. The main objective of this study is to classify the vegetation, man-made structures, and miscellaneous ...
