Predicting Daylight Illuminances on Vertical Surfaces Using Luminous Efficacy of SolarIr radiance

open access: yesJournal of the Korean Solar Energy Society, 2014
Exterior vertical illuminance is an important factor for lighting control. But, there are not many researches about the exterior illuminance on a vertical surface. In this study, we predicted the exterior illuminance on a vertical surface using vertical luminous efficacy.

Numerical Simulation of Vertical Profiles of Meteorological Variables in Urban Neighborhoods: Coupling an Urban Vertical Diffusion Model With a Single‐Layer Urban Canopy Model (UVDM‐SLUCM)

open access: yesJournal of Advances in Modeling Earth Systems, Volume 18, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract Heterogeneous landscape leads to large variations of urban microclimate in all dimensions, yet the vertical variability of meteorological elements within the urban canopy layer (UCL) has been rarely examined. In the present study, we developed an urban vertical diffusion model coupled with a single‐layer urban canopy model.

The Impact of Lunar Phases During Day and Night Cycles on Perinatal Outcomes: A Nationwide Cohort Study

open access: yesBirth, Volume 53, Issue 1, Page 192-200, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Light changes during the lunar cycle affect rhythms in diverse species. Human studies focusing on whether the moon influences human health have so far neglected the effects of light/dark cycles. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether lunar phases impact perinatal outcomes by considering illumination levels due to day ...

Behaviour of Temperate Reef Fish Species Around Oyster Aquaculture Farms and Natural Rock Reefs

open access: yesAquaculture, Fish and Fisheries, Volume 6, Issue 1, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Cultivation of eastern oysters using aquaculture gear increases habitat for temperate reef fish. Cunner (Tautogolabrus adspersus), scup (Stenotomus chrysops) and tautog (Tautoga onitis) inhabit a variety of complex natural and manmade habitats, including oyster aquaculture cage farms.

Measuring daylight:a review of dosimetry in daylight photodynamic therapy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Successful daylight photodynamic therapy (DPDT) relies on the interaction of light, photosensitisers and oxygen. Therefore, the ‘dose’ of light that a patient receives during treatment is a clinically relevant quantity, with a minimum dose ...

Highly Stable CsPbBr3@Cs4PbBr6 Perovskite Fluorescent Nanomaterials for White Light‐Emitting Diodes

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Although halide perovskite nanocrystals exhibit excellent photoelectric properties, their inherent instability greatly limits their practical applications. Here, we report a novel self‐assembly strategy to synthesize highly stable CsPbBr3@Cs4PbBr6 perovskite fluorescent nanomaterials in a single step by using 4,4′‐azo (4‐cyanoglutaric acid, CA)
