A "Gen 2" RFID monitor based on the USRP

ACM SIGCOMM Computer Communication Review, 2010
We have developed a low cost software radio based platform for monitoring EPC Gen 2 RFID traffic. The Gen 2 standard allows for a range of PHY layer configurations and does not specify exactly how to compose protocol messages to inventory tags. This has made it difficult to know how well the standard works, and how it is implemented in practice.

A Novel Ionospheric Sounding Radar Based on USRP

IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters, 2017
Ionospheric sounding is a technique that provides real-time data on high-frequency ionospheric-dependent radio propagation. This letter presents a Universal Software Radio Peripheral-based ionospheric sounding radar, which relies on a basic system consisting of a synchronized transmitter and receiver.

An USRP-based interference canceller

2012 IEEE International Conference on Communication Systems (ICCS), 2012
Interference cancellers are widely used in many antenna array systems to mitigate RF interference. This paper presents the development of an interference cancellation system using a software-radio based platform. The aim is to have a cost effective development platform to study and compare the performance of interference mitigation techniques ...

USRP based cognitive radar testbed

2017 IEEE Radar Conference (RadarConf), 2017
Cognitive radar is a relatively new field of research and the existence of low cost experimental testbeds is limited. This work will show the development of a low cost experimental testbed for experimental validation of cognitive radar algorithms. The testbed is based on USRP's, which is a low cost software defined radio developed by Ettus.

USRP: A Flexible Platform for Spectrum Monitoring

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014
Software-defined radio (SDR) is a kind of radio communication system which attempts to place much or most of the complex signal handling involved in receivers and transmitters into the digital style. As wireless technologies become ubiquitous, SDR are gaining popularity.

Design of spectrum sensing experiments based on LabVIEW and USRP

2017 4th International Conference on Systems and Informatics (ICSAI), 2017
Spectrum sensing is the primary task of cognitive radio technology. How to monitor the radio signal in space real-timely and efficiently is a hotspot and difficult point of the research about spectrum sensing technology. In order to improve the experimental teaching effect and students' understanding of cognitive radio technology, this paper builds a ...
