Circulation of West Nile Virus and Usutu Virus in Europe: Overview and Challenges
West Nile Virus (WNV) and Usutu Virus (USUV) are both neurotropic mosquito-borne viruses belonging to the Flaviviridae family. These closely related viruses mainly follow an enzootic cycle involving mosquitoes as vectors and birds as amplifying hosts ...

Usutu virus: the phantom menace
Usutu virus, an arbovirus discovered in Africa in 1959, has spread over a large part of Europe over the last twenty years causing significant bird mortality as reported in France since 2015. The zoonotic risk, associated with this succession of avian epizootics in Europe, deserves to be taken into account even if human cases remain rare to date.

Study of the pathogenesis of Usutu virus infection in ovo and in vivo
Usutu virus (USUV) is a mosquito-borne flavivirus, closely related to the West Nile virus (WNV). Similar to WNV, USUV may cause infections in humans, with occasional, but sometimes severe, neurological complications.
