Determinants of Splurge Consumption Behavior Among Generation MZ Effects on Satisfaction, Word-of-Mouth, and Repurchase Intention

open access: yesSAGE Open
The rapid evolution of consumer behavior in the digital era has positioned Generation MZ (born 1980s–2000s) as a dominant force in the marketplace, yet their splurge consumption patterns remain insufficiently understood.

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Consumption Values, Personal Characteristics and Behavioral Intentions in Mobile Shopping Adoption

open access: yesTržište, 2015
Past literature has indicated that consumption value is an important factor in consumer decision making on whether to adopt online shopping. However, most studies have focused only on a single product or service type and, therefore, generalization of the

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN UTILITARIAN AND HEDONIC CONSUMER BEHAVIOR AND SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE CONSUMPTION

open access: yesECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT, 2014
Consumption processes in modern societies are constantly gaining in importance. Noticing the growing significance of consumption, the idea of some consumer responsibility for the currently observed crises gains relevance. Despite the increasing number of publications on the subject of socially responsible consumption, however ethical side of socially ...

Establishing an assay to evaluate d‐amino acid oxidase enzyme kinetics and inhibition using WST‐8 redox dye

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This study investigated a novel WST‐8‐based assay for evaluating d‐Amino acid oxidase (DAO) inhibitors. We confirmed its effectiveness using known inhibitors and found that uremic toxins possess relatively weak inhibitory activity compared to existing drugs.

Exploring utilitarian and hedonic aspects of consumption at the Bottom of Pyramid

open access: yes, 2017

Sudden anaerobization in Amphibacillus xylanus increases intracellular labile ferrous iron and inhibits cell growth

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Abruptly changing from aerobic to anaerobic conditions (sudden anaerobization) induced growth inhibition and a significant increase in intracellular labile ferrous iron in the aerotolerant anaerobe Amphibacillus xylanus. We found that free flavins mediate efficient electron transfer from NADH to ferric iron under anaerobic conditions, suggesting that ...
