Solar ultraviolet-B (UV-B) radiation plays a crucial role in modulating plant growth, development and various physiological processes. While terrestrial life is adapted to natural UV-B levels, elevated amounts of UV-B reaching the Earth’s surface may ...

Molecular characterization of covRS mutations in M1UK Streptococcus pyogenes
Group A Streptococcus (GAS) acquires covRS mutations driving a hypervirulent bacterial state, frequently associated with invasive disease‐like necrotizing fasciitis. We demonstrate that the newly emerged M1UK GAS lineage can also acquire these mutations.

UV-B Induces Chloroplast Movements in a Phototropin-Dependent Manner
We examined the impact of UV-B irradiation on chloroplast movements in Arabidopsis leaves. Directional chloroplast movements induced by blue light have been described in multiple plant species.

The cytoskeleton‐mediated transport of mitochondria via tunnelling nanotubes restores respiration, increases ATP production, rescues cells from apoptosis, activates the AKT/mTOR signalling pathway, promotes cell migration and invasiveness, contributes to cancer progression and treatment resistance.

Фотоморфогенетична відповідь рослин гороху (Pisum sativum L.) на дію ультрафіолетової радіації
Aim. The comparation of photomorphogenetic response of pea plants in wide dose range of UV-C and UV-B irradiation was studied. Methods. Pea plants (Pisum sativum L.) cultivar Aronis were grown in water culture during 10 days and then were irradiated by ...

Effect of terahertz irradiation on DNA damage repair in living cells
We investigated the effect of terahertz (THz) wave irradiation on DNA double‐strand break (DSB) repair in living cells. We found that THz irradiation enhanced DSB repair at specific frequencies, whereas heat treatment inhibited it, indicating that this effect is nonthermal and frequency‐specific.
