Measurements and Approximations for Submicron‐Aerosol Size Distribution Functions

open access: yesEarth and Space Science, Volume 8, Issue 6, June 2021., 2021
Abstract Results of field measurements taken in the near‐Caspian (2002, 2003, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2016 years) and near‐Aral sea (1998) deserts under the conditions of weak winds (almost in the absence of saltation processes) and strong heating of the land surface are given. These results show that the fine mineral dust aerosol (0.1–1 m)

The sensitivity of cosmogenic radionuclide analysis to soil bulk density: Implications for soil formation rates

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Soil Science, Volume 72, Issue 1, Page 174-182, January 2021., 2021
Abstract Improving our knowledge of soil formation is critical so that we can better understand the first‐order controls on soil thickness and more effectively inform land‐management decisions. Cosmogenic radionuclide analysis has allowed soil scientists to more accurately constrain the rates at which soils form from bedrock.

COMPREHENSIVE ANALYSIS OF THE MICROBIOME IN THE COMPLETE PROFILE OF VIRGIN LIGHT-COLORED SOLONETZ SOIL AT THE TERRITORY OF DZHANYBEK EXPERIMENTAL STATION

open access: yesБюллетень Почвенного института им. В.В. Докучаева, 2015
Under study was the microbiome structure in virgin light-colored hydromorphized solonetz soil by using molecular-genetic and cultural methods. It was shown that the diversity of the microbial community is constantly decreasing down the soil profile being
