Regularity of a inverse problem for generic parabolic equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The paper studies some inverse boundary value problem for simplest parabolic equations such that the homogenuous Cauchy condition is ill posed at initial time.

Globalization of partial cohomology of groups [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
We study the relations between partial and global group cohomology with values in a commutative unital ring $\mathcal{A}$. In particular, for a unital partial action of a group $G$ on $\mathcal{A}$, such that $\mathcal{A}$ is a direct product of ...

Mutual Fund Theorem for continuous time markets with random coefficients [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We study the optimal investment problem for a continuous time incomplete market model such that the risk-free rate, the appreciation rates and the volatility of the stocks are all random; they are assumed to be independent from the driving Brownian ...

Soil pH modulates microbial nitrogen allocation in soil via compositional and metabolic shifts across forests in Japan

open access: yesiMetaOmics, Volume 2, Issue 4, December 2025.
This study reveals how soil pH regulates microbial N allocation in forest soils across Japan. We show that microbial abundance controls the overall rate of N cycling, while microbial composition and metabolic potential determine whether ammonium is released or retained.

THE SOIL SCIENCE OF DOKUCHAEV. THE UNITY OF THEORY AND APPLICATION. CONTRADICTIONS IF THEY ARE PRESENT (to 170-years anniversary of V.V. Dokuchaev)

open access: yesDokuchaev Soil Bulletin, 2016
In this paper we consider civilizational, social and economic role and place of fundamental and applied aspects of the soil science on the basis of analysis of classic scientific heritage. The predeterminacy of such a dualism is stipulated. It is shown that the part of comprehensive scientific works of V. V. Dokuchaev in the area of applied science and

Mechanism for the Suppression of Intermediate-Mass Black Holes

open access: yes, 2010
A model for the formation of supermassive primordial black holes in galactic nuclei with the simultaneous suppression of the formation of intermediate-mass black holes is presented. A bimodal mass function for black holes formed through phase transitions

Synergetic Use of Bare Soil Composite Imagery and Multitemporal Vegetation Remote Sensing for Soil Mapping (A Case Study from Samara Region’s Upland)

open access: yesLand
This study presents an approach for predicting soil class probabilities by integrating synthetic composite imagery of bare soil with long-term vegetation remote sensing data and soil survey data.

Black holes in the presence of dark energy

open access: yes, 2013
The new, rapidly developing field of theoretical research --- studies of dark energy interacting with black holes (and, in particular, accreting onto black holes) --- is reviewed.

Spatially explicit heteroskedastic modeling for the Soil Health Assessment Protocol and Evaluation version 1.0S

open access: yesSoil Science Society of America Journal, Volume 89, Issue 3, May/June 2025.
Abstract Greater awareness of the role of soil management in achieving global production goals and mitigating emerging environmental challenges has focused the spotlight on soil health assessment and interpretation. The role of site‐specific characteristics in soil health assessment has long been recognized through small‐scale experimental studies, and

Supernovae - Optical Precursors of Short Gamma-Ray Bursts

open access: yes, 2011
The probability of observing "supernova - gamma-ray burst" (GRB) pair events and recurrent GRBs from one galaxy in a time interval of several years has been estimated.
