Long read bacterial and eukaryotic ribosomal operon sequencing combined with stable isotope probing (SIP) allowed the differentiation of microbiomes in low‐ and high‐yield blueberry farm soils. This report may ultimately be used to improve productivity and potentially detect the responsible pathogenic agent(s) or other deleterious microbes.

Pomoloske osobine novointrodukovanih sortivisokozbunaste borovnice(Vaccinium corymbosum L.) [PDF]

Is Nocturnal Pollination Important for Crop Production? Experimental Evidence From Small Fruit Crops
ABSTRACT Insect‐mediated pollination is essential for crop production but is mainly studied considering diurnal pollinators only. Here, we use pollinator exclusion techniques to prevent either diurnal or nocturnal insect visits in small fruit crops: raspberry (Rubus idaeus), over 1 year, and red currant (Ribes rubrum) and black currant (Ribes nigrum ...

Photosynthetic Limitation as a Factor Influencing Yield in Highbush Blueberries (Vaccinium Corymbosum) Grown in a Northern European Environment [PDF]
Published evidence indicates that nearly 60% of blueberry-producing countries experience yield instability. Yield is a complex trait determined by genetic and environmental factors.

SUMMARY Glycosyltransferases (GTs) are the primary enzymes responsible for the biosynthesis of the complex polysaccharides in plant cell walls. Given the important role of GTs in plants, it is necessary to undertake their functional characterization to better understand plant cell wall synthesis pathways to develop improved feedstocks for efficient ...

Methods and effectiveness of hybridization of lowbush blueberry (vaccinium angustifoliumait.) and northern highbush blueberry (vaccinium corymbosuml.) at the stage of virginile species [PDF]
The tested technique makes it possible to obtain sufficient amount of vegetative material for further experimenting. One of the main requirements is toextract seeds from new-gathered hybridized berries without prior stratification.
