Lipid metabolism reprograming by SREBP1‐PCSK9 targeting sensitizes pancreatic cancer to immunochemotherapy

open access: yesCancer Communications, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Pancreatic cancer's aberrant lipid metabolism fuels cell growth, invasion, and metastasis, yet its impact on immune surveillance and immunotherapy is unclear. This study investigated how sterol regulatory element‐binding transcription factor 1 (SREBP1)‐driven lipid metabolism affects the tumor microenvironment (TME) in pancreatic ...

DYSREGULATION OF ION HOMEOSTASIS BY ANTIFUNGAL AGENTS

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2012
Ion signaling and transduction networks are central to fungal development and virulence because they regulate gene expression, filamentation, host association and invasion, pathogen stress response and survival.

Vacuolation in the Cytoplasm of Plant Cells

open access: yesCYTOLOGIA, 1970
By examining the cells of the endothecium and exothecium of Allium cepa anthers we have been able to study the formation and development of the vacuoles. These appear to arise from local expansions of the ER which, in the course of cell differentiation, increase in size until they form one single vacuole occupying most of the cell volume.

The Ultrastructure of the Apical Organ of the Goette's Larvae of the Polyclad Flatworm Stylochus pilidium Indicates Homology Between Polyclad Larvae

open access: yesCell Biology International, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Polyclad flatworms exhibit both direct and indirect development, with various larval types observed, including Müller's larva, Kato's larva, Goette's larva and Curini‐Galletti's larva. The different larval types are distinguished by shape, number of eyes and number of lobes.

Continuous Light‐Induced Water Oxidation in Polyoxometalate‐Based Photocatalytic Protocells and Prototissues

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Photocatalytic protocells (Ru4PCVs) incorporating a Ru‐based POM synzyme are constructed via the membranization of polymer/nucleotide coacervates. In the presence of a photosensitizer and a sacrificial electron acceptor, Ru4CVs are capable of continuously performing light‐induced water oxidation at room temperature.

In Vitro Live Cell Imaging Reveals Nuclear Dynamics and Role of the Cytoskeleton During Asymmetric Division of Pollen Mitosis I in Nicotiana Benthamiana

open access: yesCytoskeleton, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pollen is a male gametophyte of angiosperms. Following meiosis, the microspore undergoes an asymmetric division called pollen mitosis I (PMI), which produces two cells of different sizes: a large vegetative cell and a small generative cell. Polarized nuclear migration and positioning during PMI are important for successful pollen development ...
