Additive manufacturing (AM) allows great geometric freedom for lightweight components. As parts are progressively optimized exploiting potentials in AM leading in smaller material cross sections, high pressure solution treating and aging (STA) treatments show an enormous potential for strongly improving material properties.

Changes in lipids of mussel during storage [PDF]
Proximate composition, lipid and fatty acid components of dried mussel and changes in lipids during 1 year storage were studied. Male mussel contained lower fat contents and higher contents of polyunsaturated fatty acids of C20:5n-3, and C22:6n-3.

Stability of linseed oil and antioxidants containing dry fermented sausages: study of the lipid fraction during different storage conditions [PDF]
Different packaging conditions (aerobic, vacuum and modified atmosphere) were evaluated in order to study the stability of the lipid fraction of dry fermented sausages manufactured with a partial substitution of pork backfat by linseed oil and ...

It is shown that laser ablation pretreatment under oxygen‐free conditions enables copper–aluminium bonding at significantly lower deformation degrees and improved properties compared to mechanical brushing. Laser ablation further increases interface contact area and induces favourable residual stress states and microstructural compatibility ...
