Performance evaluation of a pulsatile ventricular assist device under non physiologic pumping frequencies by means FEM and 2D approach [PDF]
A ventricular assist device (VAD) is a blood pump that works in parallel with heart. It is used as a mechanical assistance for patients that suffer cardiac insufficiency: as a therapy, as a bridge to transplant or to extend life.

Justice Under the Sun: Evaluating Procedural Justice in Large‐Scale Solar Park Development
ABSTRACT The development of large‐scale solar sites (LSS) is expanding to address climate change and profitability challenges in renewable energy. This article evaluates whether such projects can meet procedural justice standards under optimal conditions, examining a case study in southern Sweden. Despite strong institutional frameworks, well‐resourced

'This is perfect, thank you': Research poetry on gratitude for voluntary assisted dying in Victoria, Australia. [PDF]
Abstract Objective To undertake the first scholarly examination in Australia of how those involved in seeking voluntary assisted dying (VAD) discuss the concept of gratitude for this new end‐of‐life choice. The article shares findings through research poetry, an arts‐based form of research where poems are developed from data (here, interview ...

Abstract Ninety percent of all primary liver malignancies are hepatocellular carcinomas (HCC), making liver cancer the third most common cause of cancer‐associated mortality. Different patterns of programmed cell death (PCD) are crucial for the survival of tumors, and they might serve as a prognostic marker for HCC.

Role of NRP1/HDAC4/CREB/RIPK1 Axis in SARS‐CoV2 S1 Spike Subunit‐Induced Neuronal Toxicity
Extracellular SARS‐CoV2 Spike‐S1 protein via NRP1 internalizes in the cytosol of SH‐SY5Y cells. Once inside, it upregulates the epigenetic eraser HDAC4, which binds transcriptional factor CREB, causes RIPK1 up‐regulation, and therefore necroptotic cell death.
