ABSTRACT Anorexia nervosa (AN) leads to severe dietary restriction, low body weight, and in many patients, hepatocellular steatosis. Clinically, hepatic fat in AN is usually macrovesicular, whereas microvesicular steatosis is more often associated with severe starvation and mitochondrial dysfunction.

ABSTRACT In the 1980s, researchers discovered the remarkable ability of electrospray plumes to effectively ionize gas‐phase molecules via secondary ionization. Around 20 years later—coinciding with the ambient mass spectrometry revolution—secondary electrospray ionization (SESI) and extractive electrospray ionization (EESI) coupled to mass spectrometry

Identifying Drugs Associated With Parkinson's Disease Risk Using Machine Learning
ABSTRACT Machine learning (ML)–based methods have been proposed as a potential approach for identifying candidate drugs to be repurposed as disease‐modifying treatments for Parkinson's disease (PD). We applied an ML‐based signal detection method to identify drugs associated with PD and evaluated the method's generalizability.

Evaluation of metabolism‐related molecules in rat model of autism spectrum disorders
Abstract Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) are neurodevelopmental pathologies. Investigating both sexes is crucial for understanding sex‐specific manifestations of ASD. This study aims to examine ASD‐like behaviours and metabolic alterations in male and female rats prenatally exposed to valproic acid (VPA).
