Dual-broadband terahertz absorber based on phase transition characteristics of VO2
A dual-broadband absorption metamaterial based on a composite structure consisting of metal and vanadium dioxide is designed and analyzed. By controlling the temperature of vanadium dioxide, the absorption band of the device can be manipulated.

Competing phases in epitaxial vanadium dioxide at nanoscale [PDF]
Phase competition in correlated oxides offers tantalizing opportunities as many intriguing physical phenomena occur near the phase transitions. Owing to a sharp metal-insulator transition (MIT) near room temperature, the correlated vanadium dioxide (VO2) exhibits a strong competition between insulating and metallic phases, which is important for ...

Enhancing Biogenic Formic Acid Production in the Modified OxFA Process by Acetonitrile Addition
In this study, the beneficial effect of using acetonitrile as a co‐solvent in the modified OxFA process is shown, outperforming methanol, demonstrating improved reaction kinetics combined with high selectivity for the HPA‐2 (H5PV2Mo10O40) catalyzed oxidation of xylose to FA.

Optical properties of the Vanadium dioxide
The vanadium dioxide is a material thermo chromium which sees its optical properties changing at the time of the transition from the phase of semiconductor state ↔ metal, at a critical temperature of 68°C. The study of the optical properties of a thin layer of VO₂ thickness 82 nm, such as the dielectric function, the index of refraction, the ...

Backbone‐Length‐Optimized Inhibitors Deliver Long‐Retention Selectivity in Area‐Selective ALD of VO2
Area‐selective VO2 ALD is found to depend critically on inhibitor backbone length, which governs physisorption, chemisorption stability, and packing efficiency in a coupled manner. An intermediate backbone‐length achieves the best long‐retention selectivity, establishing a chemically and geometrically grounded design principle for small‐molecule ...

Reduction of V4+ from V5+ using polymer as a surfactant for electrochemical applications
Vanadium dioxide nanowires and nanobelts were synthesized from vanadium pentoxide xerogel through a hydrothermal process. V5+ was reduced to V4+ by a polyblend of poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) (PVP) and poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA), and by poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA).

We report Mn‐deficient aerogels by inducing the first gelation of MnO2 nanosheets in solution using divalent metal ions as crosslinking agents, thereby inhibiting nanosheet restacking and enhancing surface utilization. Benefiting from abundant Mn vacancies and 3D porous structures, the A‐MnO2 cathode exhibits improved conductivity, fast reaction ...
