Robust Operation strategy design for an Electronic Market Enabled Supply Chain with Uncertain Variable Costs

open access: yes, 2009
An operation model is proposed in this paper for an electronic market enabled supply chain with uncertain variable costs. The supply chain consists of multi-supplier and multi-customer, suppliers can provide many kinds of product to different customers ...

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Neuronal evidence for good-based economic decisions under variable action costs

open access: yesNature Communications, 2019
Choices between goods often depend on the action costs, but the mechanisms underlying economic decisions under variable action cost are poorly understood.

Longitudinal genome‐wide aneuploidy measurements in circulating cell‐free DNA to predict lack of benefit from pembrolizumab in patients with metastatic urothelial cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.

Comparison of the actual costs during removal of concrete layer by high-speed water jets

open access: yesJournal of Business Economics and Management, 2012
This paper describes the process of possible evaluation of costs of using high speed water jet technology for concrete removal methods. High speed water jet technology is a progressive technology of removing damaged concrete used in civil engineering ...

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Radar Detectors, Fixed and Variable Costs of Crime [PDF]

open access: yes
Raising the sanction will always reduce the utility of the criminal. However, raising the sanction will not always lead to less crime, and may lead to more crime.

Variable unit costs in output regulated fisheries [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Departing from general cost theory of the firm and bioeconomic theory of the fishery, this paper contributes with an empirical examination of how variable unit costs in a Norwegian demersal and pelagic fishery depend on output and biomass.
