ABSTRACT This paper presents novel results regarding the input–output finite‐time stability (IO‐FTS) of nonlinear quadratic systems (NLQSs), a class of dynamical models particularly useful for the study of robotic systems, biochemical reaction networks, and other processes of interest to the applied sciences.

This publication describes how R. B. Woodward and Roald Hoffmann crafted their masterpiece publications. Illustrations include Woodward's first draft of the famous “Violations There are none. Nor can violations be expected of so fundamental a principle of maximum bonding.” Original but discarded text shows the stepwise paths toward the W‐H masterpieces.

Quantum State‐Resolved Photodissociation Dynamics Study of Transition‐Metal Carbonyl and Nitrosyl
State‐resolved scattering measurements provide experimental visualization of nuclear motions in reacting molecules. Carbonyls and nitrosyls are typical ligands in most of the transition‐metal complexes, which undergo dissociation upon visible and ultraviolet photoexcitation.

Turbulent Rayleigh-Taylor flow driven by time-varying accelerations
We report on numerical simulations of turbulent Rayleigh-Taylor flow subject to variable acceleration histories. The acceleration profiles were inspired by experiments and theoretical studies, and include an impulsive acceleration, accel-decel profiles ...

Attentive to the ways that inertia can take hold of life, Catholic monks recognize despondency as a potential not only within the monastery, but in contemporary society more widely. Such experiences are regularly mapped onto an understanding of what early Christian monks termed ‘acedia’ (a Greek term that can be translated as ‘lack of care’). Taking as

Perception of ADHD and Compliance in Relation to ADHD Medication
ABSTRACT Introduction ADHD medication has proven effective for treating ADHD in adults. Large registry‐based studies have generally reported high discontinuation rates over time and focused on different risk factors, including comorbidity, gender, and socioeconomic status.

ABSTRACT Background and Hypothesis Recent studies demonstrate that individuals who attend psychiatric services in adolescence, especially inpatient care, have an increased risk of psychotic disorders in adulthood. Given the extensive literature demonstrating a relationship between developmental trauma and psychosis, we investigated whether trauma ...
